Taxidermy Class, 1875

A class from around 1875 pose with their taxidermy specimens on the front steps of RI Hall. The older figure in the top hat is J.W.P. Jenks, and notice the student to the left of him, who is holding a specimen of a two-headed lamb. This student is actually the grandfather of Martha Sharp Joukowsky, one of the two Joukowsky’s after whom the Institute is named.
