Here’s what I came across surfing around the gossip- and backlash-osphere the other evening. wordpress™ wank is focused entirely on the wonderful and ego-filled world of WordPress development, where even the lead dev’s company (Automattic) is named after himself.
Go Flock Yourself was apparently started specifically to torture the Flockers, but has branched out to take on the internet at large. They author gems such as Jeff Jarvis is still a rabid dipshit where it is eloquently noted that “Digg and all of the other Web 2.0 ‘community news aggregation filters’ only cover techie-ass shit that appeals to grotty Linux trolls! What kind of jackass would rely on these people to provide information about world news?”
Meanwhile, Patrick Scoble, the son of that other Scoble, lets us know that his friends think his dad is a porn star.
And if you read only one account of the latest Winer brouhaha, I recommend this recap at Burningbird which nicely lays out the events in chronological order to answer the question: “Which came first: the business disagreement or the problems with the RSS Board?”
